1_ Garden Cherry Tomato Confit

Summer is tomato season. At about this time every year the sungolds in the garden start ripening, and while for the first few weeks as they’re getting started my son beats us to them while playing in the yard, eventually they become so abundant that none of us can keep up. In an effort to save these summer delights for our future selves every year I make multiple rounds of the Cherry Tomato Confit from the Gjelina cookbook. Delicious in the moment but best of all it freezes well and when thawed later makes a perfect easy dinner tossed with a pound of cooked pasta. (Served in my low entree bowls, of course.)

2_ Parehk Bugbee Heavy Duty Canvas Tote Bag

I own no less than four of these bags in different sizes, but the 30 is my daily driver. The canvas is extra structured (useful for an on-the-go stylist) and I love the understated, stylish utilitarian vibe.

3_ Botanica Dukkah

I’ve been using this on repeat. Grill a veg, douse in olive oil, top with Botanica’s dukkah and flakey salt (we’re currently using black volcanic salt) and serve dinner in the backyard. Makes home meals restaurant level good.

4_ L.N. Mattei Cap Corse Blanc Aperitif

My summer drink is a white vermouth and soda with wedge of lemon and this is my favorite bottle.

5_ Maison d'Etto Perfume

I have sampled countless perfumes over the years but none ever stuck. They’re somehow always too cloying or head achy. Until now. I found my true love in Noisette by Maison d’Etto and it’s a head over heels affair. Noisette is balanced, grounded perfection. I can’t stop wearing it and love when I pull a sweater out of the closet in the morning and am greeted by the lingering scent.
